Testing & Diagnostics
We provide testing (assessments) to understand individuals’ strengths and weaknesses and possible diagnoses. These assessments provide an understanding of the source of their challenges and identify potential supports to promote their successful functioning.
If you or your child are struggling to keep up with peers or not responding to treatment as expected, it may be time for an evaluation. Testing brings to light strengths and weaknesses, underlying diagnoses, and a clear direction forward. All assessment services are conducted by highly trained psychologists and educational specialists who meet with you to discuss findings, diagnosis, and recommendations once testing is complete.
Types of Evaluations
- Basic Psychoeducational Evaluation: Assesses for learning disability when there are no concerns about attention, executive functioning, or mood.
- Extended Psychoeducational Evaluation: Our most common evaluation — assesses for ADHD and/or learning disorders through tests, interviews, and rating scales.
- Comprehensive Psychoeducational Evaluation: Our most comprehensive option, covering cognitive ability, attention, executive functioning, social-emotional/behavioral functioning, and academic performance.
- Psychological Evaluation: For educational problems related to psychological issues like anxiety or depression.
- Educational Evaluation: Measures current academic skill levels in reading, writing, and math, plus the specific abilities needed to acquire them.
- Intellectual Evaluation: An IQ test to update school records or for program and school applications, covering verbal comprehension, visual-spatial reasoning, working memory, and processing speed.
- Speech and Language Evaluation: Measures articulation and expressive, receptive, and pragmatic language, and its potential impact on academic performance and social skills.
