Liz Thomsen
Clinical Psychology Postdoctoral Fellow

Dr. Elizabeth Thomsen is a Clinical Psychology Postdoctoral Fellow, who specializes in assessment of neurodevelopmental disorders and providing psychotherapy to children, adolescents, adults, and families. She has experience working with people across the lifespan who present with a wide range of mental health concerns and personality makeups. She is passionate about providing person-centered, culturally humble, and trauma-informed care to those she serves.
Liz received her Doctorate in Clinical Psychology from Wright State University in Dayton, OH. During her graduate training, she trained at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital, where she conducted autism and developmental comprehensive evaluations. She also gained extensive experience providing psychotherapy and assessment services to individuals of all ages in community mental health and private practice settings.
Liz then completed her year-long, APA accredited pre-doctoral internship at Clifford Beers Community Care Center, in New Haven, CT, where she provided neurodevelopmental and personality focused assessment and therapy services to youths and families.
Prior to her doctoral training, Liz earned her Bachelor of Science from Portland State University. During this time, she contributed to and led research projects at the Center for ADHD Research at Oregon Health and Science University. She also served her pacific northwest community through community mental health and crisis work.
