Child/Adolescent Mental Health Therapist
Morrissey Compton, Inc., a respected non-profit community-based, multidisciplinary clinic,
is seeking a Child/Adolescent Mental Health Therapist to join our team. We have served
the educational and psychological needs of children, adolescents, and adults for over 40
years.
Position Overview
This part-time position offers flexible hours and the opportunity to work either in-person
or remotely. The therapist will provide high-quality, evidence-based mental health services
to children, adolescents, and/or young adults, as well as support and consultation to their
families.
Responsibilities
Provide individual, family, and group therapy
Offer parent consultation and education
Facilitate parent education classes and/or community groups
Collaborating with multidisciplinary team members to support client needs
Qualifications
Master’s degree in clinical psychology, marriage and family therapy, social work, counseling, or related mental health field
Licensed in California or actively pursuing licensure (necessary supervision provided)
Clinical experience working with children and adolescents
California residency required

family therapy, group therapy, parent education, special education advocacy, tutoring,
executive functioning therapy, summer academic enrichment programs for students with
learning disabilities and ADHD, and consultation to parents, schools, juvenile probation,
and the Department of Social Services (foster youth).
