Who We Help

  • Preschool

Do you have questions about your preschooler’s development or upcoming transition to kindergarten? Our assessment, intervention, and consultation services can provide guidance in navigating concerns about child development, early intervention, and school readiness.

  • Elementary

For many children, social-emotional and learning challenges first arise when they are in elementary school. Through assessment, we focus on identifying and understanding a student’s cognitive, academic, and psychological profile so that we can address their unique needs with specialized academic and therapeutic intervention.

  • Middle School

The middle school years mark an important period of development for your child as they adjust to new school demands, navigate complex social situations, and begin to explore their identity. We can help your family make it through this period with consultation, therapy, and executive functioning support.

  • High School

As your child has developed into a teenager, their needs have changed. We can help you get an updated picture of your teen’s academic and mental health functioning to assist with planning for college and creating a roadmap to success.

  • College

Graduating high school and entering college are exciting milestones that can come with a lot of stress. Our staff can help young adults discover helpful learning strategies, advocate for their support needs, navigate campus resources, and develop healthy coping skills to help them ease into this next phase of life.

  • Adulthood

It can be very exciting to craft an adult life. It can also be overwhelming. We are here for those that have questions or need more support in managing work demands, self-care tasks, relationship challenges, or mental health concerns.

Testing + Diagnostics

If you or your child are struggling to keep up with peers or not responding to treatment as expected, it may be time for an evaluation. Testing brings to light strengths and weaknesses, underlying diagnoses, and a clear direction for how to move forward. All of our assessment services are conducted by highly trained psychologists and educational specialists that meet with you to discuss the findings, diagnosis, and recommendations once testing is complete.

  • A basic psychoeducational evaluation is typically used to assess for learning disability when there are no concerns about attention, executive functioning, or mood. This evaluation includes an overview of cognitive abilities and academic performance in reading, writing, and mathematics.

  • This our most common type of evaluation. It is typically necessary when difficulty with learning, attention, concentration, and organization are the areas of concern. Often given in conjunction with a psychoeducational evaluation, a psychologist can assess for Attention Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) and/or learning disorders through tests, interviews, and rating scales.

  • This is our most comprehensive option for individuals who have needs across many areas and want to understand the big picture. This evaluation includes current cognitive ability, attention, executive functioning, social-emotional, and/or behavioral functioning, as well as academic performance in reading, writing, and mathematics.

  • Sometimes a student’s educational problems are related to psychological issues such as anxiety or depression. Psychologists look at these issues through rating scales, an interview to understand the history of the concern, and specific tests designed to assess these issues.

  • Educational testing measures an individual’s current level of academic skills such as reading, writing, and math. The assessment also includes an evaluation of specific abilities needed to acquire academic skills such as perception, memory, and discrimination. Educational evaluations are carried out by an educational specialist using a variety of standardized tests as well as some informal diagnostic procedures.

  • An intellectual evaluation is conducted when an IQ test is required to update a student’s records, or for application to a school or program. It includes estimates of verbal comprehension, visual-spatial reasoning, working memory, and processing speed.

  • A speech and language evaluation measures individual’s articulation, expressive language, receptive language, and pragmatic language and helps explain the potential impact on their academic performance and social skills.

  • Educational Support

Our skilled team of Educational Specialists offers specialized instruction in the areas of reading, writing, math. Each specialist has training in research-based, multi-sensory methodologies designed to meet the needs of students with dyslexia, dyscalculia, and dysgraphia.
