Julie Cavanna-Jerbic

Julie Cavanna-Jerbic is a senior operations executive, qualified financial expert, and corporate strategist recognized for leading complex organizations by aligning strategy and growth objectives with corporate goals. A former GM, CFO, and CIO at Hewlett-Packard Company (HP), Julie directed top-level, high-profile initiatives in Finance, Sales Operations, and IT that streamlined global operations. As the principal and founder of Iron Butterfly LLC, she currently advises the board on managing transactions, business disruptions, and corporate culture.

Julie now holds several board roles in addition to her teaching and consulting commitments. Julie serves on the Supervisory (Audit) Committee of First Tech Federal Credit Union ($18B in assets). She has just completed a two-year tenure as an Independent Director on the Board of ALJ Regional Holdings, Inc. (NASDAQ: ALJJ), Chairing the Technology Committee, and a member of the Audit Committee and Compensation, Nominating, and Corporate Governance Committee. She also served as the Audit Committee Chair of LotLinx, a private company, which is a SaaS provider of digital retailing and marketing technologies for the Automotive Industry. Julie is on the Board of Trustees of Morrissey Compton, a non-profit corporation in the spirit of giving back to her community. She is also a member of the Corporate Leadership Council of the San Jose Museum of Art.

Julie received her BA from UC Berkeley and her MBA from the University of Southern California. A California native, Julie grew up in the family business and was the first in her family to receive a college education. She currently resides in the Bay Area with her husband, a fellow Berkeley alum, and their daughter who proudly carried on the Berkeley tradition. Julie is an avid hiker and patron of the arts.
