Dr. Lydia Flasher is a licensed psychologist who has recently joined the staff at Morrissey Compton and will be working primarily at the Campbell (South Bay) office. Dr. Flasher brings 30+ years of clinical experience and specializes in providing psychotherapy for children (10+ years), adolescents, families, and individual adults. She is experienced in treating a wide range of mental health issues, including anxiety, depression, ADHD/ disruptive behaviors, emotional dysregulation, identity development, the psychological impact of medical illness, and relationship challenges. She also helps individuals and families achieve better understanding, communication, and harmony through family and parent management therapy. She earned her Bachelor’s degree from Duke University and her Master’s degree and Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology at Vanderbilt University. Dr. Flasher successfully completed her doctoral internship and postdoctoral fellowship at Montreal Children’s Hospital before becoming a staff psychologist there. She has also been committed to teaching, training, and supervising psychologists for over two decades. Currently, she serves on the Board of California Psychological Association, Division II (Education and Training) and is Chair-Elect. She is a former competitive runner and strongly believes in the importance of balancing positive physical and mental health.
