Megan Broome, Ph.D., is a postdoctoral fellow who provides child-centered, trauma-informed therapy and assessment. Growing up in the diverse San Francisco Bay Area has instilled in her the strong value of providing culturally sensitive and informed care. She values a creative, integrative approach to therapy, customizing each child’s experience based on their needs and interests. She is attachment-oriented and often uses play, art, and narrative therapy interventions. Her clinical interests include early childhood trauma, anxiety, autism spectrum disorder, and mood disorders. With the belief that all behavior is a form of communication, she operates with the aim of providing collaborative early intervention to set children and families up for success.

Megan specializes in using art, play, and storytelling to address children’s social, emotional, and behavioral difficulties. Additionally, she has training in Applied Behavioral Analysis (ABA), Supportive Parenting for Anxious Childhood Emotions (SPACE), Parent-Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT), and Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT).

Megan earned her doctorate in Clinical Psychology from the California School of Professional Psychology at Alliant International University, San Francisco. She has primarily provided therapy to children (2-12 years old) in elementary school-based and family-centered community mental health settings.
