Educational Specialist

Robert Urowsky, M.A., came to Morrissey Compton from Edgewood Community School in San Francisco where he was the principal. Robert offers educational therapy with a focus on Slingerland (e.g., phonemic awareness, decoding, orthography, reading fluency, reading comprehension, handwriting, spelling, and written expression). His main focus will be in this area; however, he is familiar with other programs such as Step Up To Writing®, Making Math Real, and Social Thinking.® His approach is strength-based and student-centered, and he is open to seeing students from K-12th grade. He brings a wealth of knowledge and experience related to developing and maintaining behavioral support plans and navigating the IEP process.
