Shiry Zamir, Psy.D

Postdoctoral Fellow

Shiry Zamir, M.A., is a predoctoral intern who specializes in the treatment of teens and adults who are struggling with symptoms of anxiety and depression. In addition, Shiry works with a wide range of emotional regulation and behavioral issues provides services for grief counseling, eating disorders, trauma and post-traumatic stress disorder, addiction and substance misuse, school-based interventions, and beyond.

Shiry has over 15 years of experience working with adults, children, and adolescents. She is dedicated to working with individuals who want to identify and move through obstacles preventing them from experiencing a whole and meaningful life. Shiry is passionate about being part of the experience of listening and guiding her clients through challenging situations and supporting them through the healing process.

Shiry earned her M.A. in Counseling Psychology and Student Personnel from San Jose University and is currently a Doctoral Candidate in Clinical Psychology at California Southern University. She also completed a two-year Psychoanalytic psychotherapy training program for children and adolescents at the San Francisco Center for Psychoanalysis, an Advanced Training Program and consultation of CBT techniques and therapy skills for individuals and group settings, and advanced clinical training at the Social Thinking Clinical Training Program.

Shiry seeks to empower her clients with concrete, evidence-based tools to navigate challenging life situations. Her eclectic therapeutic style focuses on psychodynamic therapies while incorporating Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and other person-centered approaches.
